Neal and Judy Ibbotson planted their first vines in Marlborough in 1978. They sold grapes to local wineries for many years before bottling their first vintage under the name Saint Clair Family Estate in 1994. Today, the  Ibbotson’s farm 160 hectares, the largest family owned winery in Marlborough.
