Tasting Notes: When blending the 2019 vintage, we marked special barrels that exhibited
differing layers of intensity. If we had a few of them remaining after we created the final blends
for the other pinot noirs, the idea was to see how they would work together and if we could
make something different and unique compared to the other wines. In the end, we had nine
barrels remaining. Many times, you can try to blend two exceptional barrels together and it’s
like fire and ice. Not this time, we hit the mother load.
